Security in a World of
IT In-Security.
Layer7 Pro designs, secures, modernizes, and stabilizes the systems businesses depend on. From financial institutions and healthcare to government, aerospace, telecommunications, and payment infrastructure. We've worked where reliability and security aren't optional.
We don't just recommend solutions.
We replicate proven ones.
The best architecture isn't the newest diagram. It's the architecture that has already survived production, scale, failure, audits, attacks, upgrades, and change. We take proven patterns, adapt them to the environment, and make them repeatable.
30+ Years of Technology Experience
From the data center to the cloud. From packets to applications. From architecture to production.
…and just about everything in between.
We work where technologies collide.
Modern infrastructure problems rarely fit neatly into one product or organizational silo. Identity affects cloud. DNS affects applications. Applications affect firewalls. TLS affects visibility. Compliance affects architecture. Architecture affects operations. Layer7 Pro works across those boundaries.

Sometimes the biggest denial-of-service attack comes from inside the security stack.
Security teams have an important job: reduce risk. But controls can become so restrictive that they prevent legitimate users, applications, and business processes from operating. When that happens, the organization hasn't necessarily become more secure. It may simply have become less functional.
Self-Inflicted Denial of Service
A security control that blocks legitimate employees, applications, partners, or customers can produce the same business result as an external outage.
Unavailable is unavailable.
Productivity Becomes a Security Issue
When employees cannot accomplish legitimate work through approved systems, they begin looking for alternatives: personal devices, unapproved applications, shadow IT, alternate data-transfer methods, shared credentials, security bypasses. Poorly designed controls can create the behavior they were intended to prevent.
Trust Matters
Security teams cannot protect systems effectively if the rest of the organization views them as an obstacle. Good security creates confidence. Great security becomes almost invisible.
The goal isn't maximum restriction.
The goal is appropriate control.
Layer7 Pro helps organizations design policies around identity, context, risk, data, application behavior, and business need, rather than simply blocking everything that might someday become a problem.
Verify explicitly.
Don't prohibit blindly.
Zero Trust should not mean that nobody can do anything. It means access decisions are based on evidence. Identity. Device. Application. Location. Risk. Data. Behavior. Context.
The answer doesn't always have to be "block."
Security isn't binary.
Toggle the signals and watch the decision change. A request isn't just "risky or not." It's evaluated against who, what, device, and context.
DENY
Blocked by policy.
Proven Once.
Engineered to Repeat.
Traditional consulting often starts with a blank whiteboard. We usually start somewhere else: What has already worked?
DISCOVER
Find the architecture, control, workflow, or implementation that has already proven successful.
DISTILL
Separate the underlying pattern from the environment-specific details.
ENGINEER
Turn that pattern into an architecture, standard, automation, or repeatable implementation.
ADAPT
Account for the organization's applications, security requirements, infrastructure, risk, and operating model.
MEASURE
Determine whether the solution actually improved security, availability, productivity, complexity, operational burden, risk, and cost.
REPLICATE
When something works, turn it into a repeatable architecture, standard, automation, or control.
Stop solving the same problem from scratch.
A successful solution should become institutional knowledge, not tribal knowledge.
Security is an architectural property.
Layer7 Pro doesn't treat security as a box installed between two networks. Security exists in how applications are exposed, how identities are trusted, how traffic moves, how platforms communicate, how systems fail, how changes are deployed, and how infrastructure is operated. That means we look across the stack.
Layer 7 is highlighted, but Layer7 Pro understands the entire path required to make Layer 7 work.
Your problem probably isn't just a firewall problem.
Enterprise incidents rarely respect organizational charts. An authentication problem becomes an application problem. A DNS problem becomes an outage. A TLS change becomes an integration failure. A security policy becomes a productivity problem. A compliance requirement becomes an architecture decision. An AI implementation becomes a data-governance problem.
Layer7 Pro works across the boundaries.
Environments where failure matters.
We've worked across organizations with very different missions, regulations, technologies, and risk tolerances. What they have in common is that the systems matter: they process money, move data, serve citizens, support patients, connect customers, and run businesses.
Banking
Highly controlled infrastructure where uptime, security, auditability, and predictable change are mandatory.
Credit Unions
Enterprise-class security and architecture applied to organizations where efficiency matters as much as capability.
Healthcare
Secure, resilient infrastructure supporting sensitive systems and demanding availability requirements.
Payments
High-volume application delivery where latency, reliability, availability, and security intersect.
Government
Architectures built around security boundaries, governance, reliability, and controlled change.
Aerospace
Complex technical ecosystems with demanding operational and security requirements.
Telecommunications
Networks and applications operating at scale where availability and traffic engineering are fundamental.
Technology
Complex organizations combining legacy infrastructure, cloud, applications, automation, and security.
Enterprise
Organizations holding together decades of technology that nobody can simply turn off.
Different industries. Similar consequences.
We've probably seen some version of your problem before.
Vendor aware.
Architecture first.
Technology changes constantly. Architectural principles don't. Layer7 Pro works across enterprise infrastructure, cloud, networking, security, application delivery, automation, observability, and platform technologies.
Vendor-neutral by design. No fabricated partnerships.
Bring us the difficult problem.
Architecture
Design or review a system before expensive decisions become permanent ones.
Modernization
Take an existing environment and determine what should be retained, replaced, automated, consolidated, or redesigned.
Engineering
Move from architecture diagrams to implementations capable of surviving production.
Advisory
Provide experienced architectural guidance when internal teams need another set of eyes on a difficult decision.
We can solve the immediate problem, or help turn the solution into a standard you can use repeatedly.
We like complicated.
The application everyone is afraid to touch.
That's usually where the interesting work starts.
Got a problem that doesn't fit neatly in one box?
Security. Identity. DNS. Cloud. F5. Architecture. AI. Compliance. Reliability. Or some wonderfully complicated combination of all of them.
Those are usually the interesting ones.
